KINGDOM INVESTING 101

A Black man in a black T-shirt with a green and white logo is standing in front of a computer screen displaying a financial chart with red and green lines. The man is looking to the side with his mouth open as if speaking passionately, and his left arm is outstretched, pointing. The text "KINGDOM INVESTING 101" is overlaid in large white and green letters on the lower half of the image. The logo for "SPEAKING TRUTH INTO UNITY" is in the bottom right corner.

Let’s talk Kingdom investing. This is Investing 101, and it’s time for a real conversation. No fluff—just truth.

You would never invest in something expecting nothing in return. That’s not how investing works. If I’m going to give my money, my time, my energy—I’m expecting something to come back. A good investor looks for good soil—something fruitful, something worthy of the investment.

And guess what? God is an investor. He invested in you. Let that sink in.

God sent His Son to live a sinless life, die a brutal death, and rise again—not just to save you, but to place something inside you. A talent. A gift. A unique wiring. And He expects a return.

This ain’t a guilt trip. It’s an invitation. It’s God saying, “I’ve given you something valuable. Now do something with it.”

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…”
—1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

What Are You Doing with God’s Investment?

You weren’t saved to sit. You weren’t gifted to spectate.

If God’s business is soul-winning, then the ROI (return on investment) He’s looking for isn’t just church attendance. It’s impact. It’s service. It’s people brought closer to Him because you said “yes” to your calling.

Some of you have five talents. Some of you have two. Some of you might feel like you only have one—but regardless of how much, God expects movement. And for those who aren't serving right now... respectfully, it’s time.

If you’re in a church body but not investing your gift, you’re not only missing out—you’re withholding a harvest God’s been waiting for.

And look, if you are serving? Praise God. But don’t stop there. Ask Him how to multiply that seed.

God Is Serious About His Return

Jesus told Peter, “If you love Me, feed My sheep.” Translation: Take care of My people. Love who I love.

And who does He love? The broken. The lost. The forgotten. There is plenty of harvest out here. The problem isn’t the people—it’s the lack of laborers, and that’s where you come in.

God gave you your gifts for a reason. Your talents give you access to rooms, relationships, and real-life moments where you can represent Christ and lead others to Him. That’s Kingdom investing.

You don’t have to have a mic. You don’t need a title. You just need to be faithful with what He gave you.

“Well done, good and faithful servant…

That only happens if you actually did something.

Your Time, Your Talent, Your Treasure—It’s All Kingdom Currency

So here’s your homework:

  • Evaluate your investment. Where are you sowing your time?

  • Discover your gift. What are you good at that God can use?

  • Put it to work. Find the place where your passion and God’s purpose meet. Then move.

Whether it's serving on the AV team, mentoring teens, building websites, cooking meals, praying for people, or simply smiling and welcoming guests—every role is valuable in the Kingdom. God doesn’t need your perfection—He needs your participation.

Final Word: Jesus Gave You the Gift—Now Give It Back

God’s greatest ROI is lives changed. He gave you something powerful, and now He’s waiting to see what you’ll do with it. So don’t bury the talent. Don’t ignore the assignment.

It’s time to invest in the Kingdom!

Let’s give God the kind of return that makes Heaven celebrate.
